Hospitals, health systems and other health care organizations pay a large amount of physicians, both employed and independent doctors. This compensation is for contracted work that not only includes payroll, but administrative work, such as medical directorships and on-call duties to bonuses and RVUs.

Ludi conducted an online survey with the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) in February 2020, asking their members a series of questions regarding how they currently pay their medical teams.
