Quality Assurance Engineer

About the Role

The role of QA Engineer will be to test Ludi’s Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) DocTime® product suite. The QA Engineer will work together with clients and business partners, product management, development peers, and testing to implement product enhancements for our clients. Both manual and automated testing are needed in equal parts, as well as test case management and bug tracking. This role is remote with a small amount of travel.

Responsibilities

  • Test tickets to completion through a combination of manual and automated testing during sprints alongside onshore and offshore teams
  • Work with the QA lead and fellow engineers to design and update the existing automation framework
  • Write test cases, determine best automation candidates, and code automated tests
  • Maintain automated test framework as workflows adjust over time
  • Communicate daily with onshore and offshore development and QA teams, as well as the product and client success teams, in regular meetings, asynchronous messaging, and ticket tracking
  • Use a combination of manual and automated testing to perform regression and integration testing before deployments
  • Report testing results and identify when a test failure should be raised to the group
  • Assist in triage of production issues

Job Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
  • Software testing experience (3+ years)
  • Experience with testing commercial grade SaaS software package
  • Experience with AGILE methodologies to manage work assignments
  • Proven programming skills with a focus on testing and automation frameworks (specific language experience not required)
  • Experience with automation tool sets, such as Playwright, Selenium, LambdaTest, or similar
  • Experience with code repository and CI/CD tool sets, such as Gitlab, Github, or similar
  • Ability to read code and query databases for triage and debug purposes
  • Flexibility to move between sprint work and tech debt/automation maintenance
  • Strong communication, analytical, organizational, time management, and process management skills
  • Proven track record of on-time delivery and consistently meeting project deadlines
